Wenn ich damit rechne, dass es so aussehen wird wie seine Vorgänger, werd ich wohl keine Enttäuschung erleben.

Darum geht es auch nicht, ich zweifle mehr daran, dass es ein eigentliches, rundes Spiel wird .

Sega untersucht Möglichkeiten für Shenmue 1 & 2 HD

 

12.05.16 - Sega hat Interesse daran, Shenmue 1 (DC) und Shenmue 2 (DC, Xbox) als HD-Remaster-Versionen neuaufzulegen und führt bereits Untersuchungen dafür durch. Das bestätigte Dan Sheridan, Community & Social Marketing Manager von Sega Europe, in einem neuen Sega Central Video.

 

Sega würde es lieben, beide Spiele in HD zu veröffentlichen, wie Sheridan meint - am liebsten "gleich morgen". Allerdings will Sega keine schnellen HD-Portierungen vornehmen, sondern Versionen erschaffen, die den Originalen auch gerecht werden.

 

Ein großes Problem sind die lizenzierten Produkte, die in Shenmue 1 und 2 vorhanden sind. Daher werden jetzt Untersuchungen angestellt, ob HD-Versionen der beiden Spiele möglich sind.

Gut - ob man jetzt ne Cola- oder Loca-Dose aus 'nem Automaten lässt, wird wohl keinen all zu grossen Einfluss auf die Authentizität der Spielwelt haben. Aber klar - Lizenzen sind ein Problem, und oftmals an eine Hardware respektive gewisse Zeitdauer gebunden... zich Jahre später das Spiel nochmals auf anderen Plattformen mit Original-Lizenz-Inhalt rausbringen kann rechtlich heikel werden. Mir als Coca-Cola-Company wär's scheiss egal - ist ja gratis Werbung... aber wo man den Schotter riecht....

Auf jeden Fall können sie sich wohl gut Zeit lassen. Bis Shenmue 3 wirklich kommt, dauert's wohl noch ein Weilchen ... ob mit oder ohne Support von Sony. Würde mir etwaige HD-Remaster auf jeden Fall insta kaufen.

Wieso genau denkst Du das?

Die Steuerung und das ganze Gameplay kann man imo so heute nicht mehr bringen. Ich mochte es damals, aber ich weiss nicht, ob ich mir das heute in dieser Form nochmals antun möchte.

Na gut - mit dem Dreamcast-Controller wird man's wohl kaum spielen müssen auf der PS4 .... denke mal, dass bei einem Remaster die Steuerung ziemlich sicher angepasst wird.

Möglich wäre es sicher, die Frage ist, ob SEGA das Geld locker machen möchte. Ausserdem müsste man dann wohl die Engine gehörig overhaulen, wenn man es zum Vollpreis verkaufen wollte.

Ansonsten die Collection aufskaliert für 29.- ins PSN und gut ist.

Shenmue III Campaign and Progress Update

PC Version Available on Shenmue.link

 

There have been many requests for the PC version pre-order option during the Slacker Backer Campaign, and now that agreements by all affiliated parties have been finalized, Shenmue.link is accepting Shenmue III PC version pre-orders as of today. As always, sales from the PC version will also help towards the Stretch Goals.

 

Just as with the Kickstarter, backers will be able to choose whether they would like the PS4 version or the PC version. For example, if you have pledged for the PS4 version, you can still switch to the PC version, or vice versa. Backers will be able to make their choice during the backer surveys.

 

Game Development

 

R&D for various game elements is on course as the development team shifts its focus towards production. Main game scenarios are nearing completion, motion capture tests are well under way, and voicing tests with the cast have begun. Yu-san and the production staff are happy to say they are enjoying the work as they continue to diligently make progress on the mini-games, events, and battles.

 

“I have been absorbed in developing the game and I stay in the studio all night time to time,” said Yu Suzuki. “My life is all about Shenmue day and night.”

 

These are new, still work-in-progress visuals and are subject to change.

Yesss! Meine Gebete wurden erhört. War eigentlich aber auch logisch dass diese remakes kommen. Wäre sinnlos jetzt mit dem dritten Teil bei so Storylastigen Werken.

Shenmue HD Remaster Coming in 2017

 

A trusted source close to Atlus USA, today revealed to me that Shenmue HD Remaster will be released this year. Both games, Episodes 1 & 2, may be released together rather than separately. They are presumably being geared up for launch to precede Shenmue 3, which could possibly slip into 2018.

 

This will come as no surprise. Last year Sega hinted strongly that a Shenmue HD remaster was on the cards and then towards the end of last year, Sega registered the domain ShenmueHD.com. Furthermore, many have known of the existence of a Shenmue HD Remaster for some time. Way back in 2010, a Shenmue II remaster appeared on Microsoft’s Partnernet – the online ecosystem for Xbox 360 dev kits.

 

So it was a always case of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ a Shenmue HD Remaster would appear.

 

The appearance of an HD remaster will be vital for the success of the forthcoming Shenmue 3. While it raised a colossal amount of money via kickstarter through long-time series fans, the vast majority of gamers won’t know the events of the first two games.

 

Such a story rich experience would be impossible to appreciate without knowledge of the events so far – and so it’s an important step for the series to find a new, broader fanbase.

 

No further details have been revealed to us regarding the release. We were told it is ‘safe to assume a PC/Steam release’, there has been no indication that the Shenmue HD Remasters will appear on any other platform.

.... dass sich der gute Yu mit Shenmue III wohl alle Zeit der Welt lässt, dürfte klar sein ... hätte mich auch sehr gewundert, wenn das noch 2017 gekommen wäre (sofern die Verschiebung zutrifft).

Remaster hole ich nur, wenn die Assets zumindest teilweise ersetzt werden. Für ein blosses Upscaling hole ich mir das nicht.

Uuuund es wird noch ewig dauern:

Als ob das nach all dem Warten für die Fans noch was ausmachen würd.

Bei Japanischen releasedates habe ich manchmal dass Gefühl dass da einfach ein Boss sagt "Am 2.3.2017 wird released!". Dann darf niemand nein sagen.

Am 20.2.2017 wird dann langsam allen klar dass man wohl verschieben muss.

Also ich bin ja sowieso skeptisch was Shenmue 3 anbelangt, die sollen sich ruhig Zeit lassen.

Und ja, ob man nun insgesamt 16 oder 17 Jahre auf den dritten Teil warten muss, ist ziemlich egal. (Shenmue 2 kam glaube ich 2001 heraus)

Story

A tale of revenge.

In 1986, teenage jujitsu artist Ryo Hazuki returns to the dojo of his father, Iwao Hazuki, only to witness his murder by a Chinese man, Lan Di. Lan Di steals a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Mirror. Ryo vows to avenge his father’s death and sets out tracing Lan Di’s path.

The first game in the series, Shenmue begins the tale as Ryo travels around Yokosuka, Japan, gathering clues about his father’s murder and dealing with nefarious gangsters along the way.

The sequel Shenmue II continues Ryo’s quest, this time crossing the sea to Hong Kong, China. Ryo ventures deeper into the criminal underworld, meeting martial arts masters who aid him on his journey and offer insight into his father’s death, and unravels the mysteries of the Dragon Mirror that his father kept hidden.

Ne, weiss schon was du meinst... Mal sehen wie gut die Dinger gealtert sind. Ein paar Dinge dürften nach 20 Jahren wohl schon ziemlich altbacken rüberkommen. Ich meine, Shenmue war eine der ersten 3D-Welten mit "simuliertem Leben".

ich hatte/habe den ersten Teil auf meiner Dreamcast. Den 2. Teil hatte ich nie. Mal sehen - wahrscheinlich hole ich's mir für die PS4, denn ob ich Dreamcast und Co. jemals wieder an meinen Fernseher anschliessen werde, ist fraglich. So von wegen Bildschärfe und so. und extra so einen Converter (oder wie man dat Ding nennt) kaufen mag ich nicht. Ich habe ja Mega Drive, Saturn, N64 PS2 alle noch in den Schränken. Inkl. ne Menge Games...

Shenmue gehört auch zu den Dreamcast-Spielen, die mittlerweile Probleme machen können beim Abspielen. Denke die Chance ist gross, dass die Remaster-Version schon bald sowieso die einzige abspielbare Version sein wird.
